Torchwood is a secret organization protecting people. Torchwood operate almost completely independently and sometimes even contrary to Her Majesty's Government, and have come to function as a somewhat separate body in recent years, a double edged sword by some accounts. They are hunting down aliens, demons, ghosts, zombies and all other creatures.
